The Penampang PKR Deputy Chief, Kenny Chua had today urged the management of Beverly Hills Plaza to look into the rubbish disposal problem located behind the Milimewa Supermarket which is now becoming a major health problem at that commercial premise.

"We had received numerous complaints from owners and customers relating to the unbearable stenches coming from the rubbish collection site as rubbishes are piling up and not being collected for several weeks.

The heap of rubbishes had became health threatening issue since rats and flies are seen roaming and flying all over that places," said Chua who is also the PKR Kepayan Task Force Chairman.

Imagine if flies from that rubbish collection site land on foods served at the nearby coffeeshops or restaurants, he added.

Chua said that visual investigation at that site revealed that the problem may arose because insufficient rubbish bins are being provided at that site.

"Since that area lack sufficient bins, people ended-up dumping rubbish at that site indiscriminately," Chua contends.

Towards this, Chua urge the management to liaise with the Majlis Daerah Penampang to have the problem settled immediately.

"It would be grossly unfair for the owners of the respective units to suffer since they are paying the management fees every month to ensure that rubbish are being collected on time.

So, the management of that plaza should discuss with Majlis Daerah Penampang soonest possible to have this issue settled once and for all," he concluded.
