Jerusalem (CNN) --
The medical condition of former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon,
who has been in a coma since 2006, has worsened, Sheba Medical Center
spokeswoman Amir Maron said Wednesday.
"In the last few days there has been worsening in the medical condition of Ariel Sharon," Maron said.
Sharon was
prime minister of Israel from 2001 until he suffered a stroke in 2006.
He has been in an induced coma since that time.
