Pegawai Kastam disiasat mati jatuh dari bangunan SPRMKUALA LUMPUR, 6 April — Seorang pegawai Kastam yang sedang disiasat Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) mati selepas jatuh dari bangunan agensi itu di Jalan Cochrane di sini hari ini.
Perkara itu diumumkan oleh Pengarah Siasatan SPRM Datuk Mustafar Ali.
Agensi itu akan mengadakan sidang media tengah hari ini.
Insiden terbaru ini berlaku ketika Suruhanjaya Diraja sedang mengadakan siasatan berhubung kematian bekas pegawai DAP Teoh Beng Hock ditemui mati selepas disiasat SPRM dua tahun lalu.
SPRM memulakan Operasi 3B minggu lalu dan telah menahan 62 pegawai Kastam di seluruh negara. -TMI
Customs officer in graft probe falls to death at MACC buildingUlasan GB
KUALA LUMPUR: A Customs officer under probe for graft involving unpaid taxes is believed to have fallen to his death from the 3rd Floor of the MACC Building in Jalan Cochrane here on Wednesday morning.
The remains of the officer, who had been released on bail two days ago, was found at 10.15am.
It is learnt that the officer had returned to the MACC office on Wednesday to meet the investigation officer.
MACC director of investigations Datuk Mustafar Ali, who confirmed the incident, said the investigation officer had told the Customs officer to wait and went to collect the case file.
"When he came back, he found the Customs officer missing," he added.
MACC is scheduled to hold a press conference on the incident Wednesday afternoon. -thestar
